Zidane Vs Italy

For the first time in my whole life, i watched the football worldcup final live on TV yesterday night along with my mom and brother.Actually i caught the football fever only this year but really enjoyed all the matches i watched.I should admit that the final match b/w Italy and France was a great match but the team i was cheering for i.e.,France lost [;( ].According to me,the first half was not very exciting eventhough both the teams scored one goal each but second half made me stick to the TV screen as both teams were in high spirits but unlike first half, France was very fierce and attacking and Italy was in defending mood in the second half.

The most shocking moment in the match was when Zidane got the red card during extra time for head butting opponent Marco Materazzi.It was very disappointing to see Zidane's dismissal.I really wonder, what made Zidane who is known for his graceful and cool play to take this extreme step and why did he ruin his farewell and disappoint his fans in the final match of his career.May be i think he was provoked by the argument he had with Macro Materazzi.But it definitely proved that human emotions are unpredictable no matter who you are.Well,after the exit of Zidane there was lack of confidence and team spirit in France team.When the match had to be decided on penalty showdown i was sure that without Zidane France will definitely loose.After all, its a match and one has to win over the other.There is absolutely no doubt that the best team will win .In this match it was Italy ;)
